Fresh Pineapple Juice Recipe
- Large pineapple, 1
- Sugar, 2 teaspoons
- Water, 2 to 3 cups
- Crushed ice
Juicing It Up
To make this pineapple juice with a blender, cut the head of the pineapple and remove the pines and peel. Cut the fruit into large chunks and put them in a blender jar. Add the water and sugar in the jar. You can also use honey instead of sugar to sweeten the juice. Pulse the ingredients at a high speed for about 5 to 10 minutes till they are mixed well. If you feel the juice is too thick, then add another cup of water and blend it again. Pour the juice in a tall glass, garnished with a slice of pineapple and enjoy it chilled.
Zesty Pineapple Juice Recipe
- Whole, unpeeled pineapples, 2
- Fresh ginger, peeled and coarsely chopped, 1
- Peeled fresh lemongrass, coarsely chopped, ¼ cup
- Water, 10 cups
- Powdered sugar, ½ cup
- Mint sprigs, for garnish
Juicing It Up
Peel the pineapples and cut them into medium-sized chunks. Put them in a large saucepan and add 6 cups of water. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring it to boil. Once the water starts boiling reduce the heat and allow the fruit to simmer for about half an hour. You can also use a Dutch oven for this purpose. Once the pulp has been formed, drain the liquid in a colander and allow it to cool down. Meanwhile, take a food processor container and add the coarsely chopped lemongrass and ginger, along with a few tablespoons of water. Process the ingredients till they are finely chopped. Place the mixture in a cheese cloth and tie it up. Soak this cheesecloth in a bowl of water for about 30 minutes. After this squeeze the cloth to strain the juice. Mix this with the pineapple juice and stir in the sugar. Take a tall glass and put a few ice cubes. Pour the juice and garnish it with mint sprigs for a refreshing beverage.

Stir in the honey to sweeten the drink according to your preference. Place the pitcher in a refrigerator to chill it for three to four hours. Add the ginger ale, pineapple slices, white wine and melon pieces to the pitcher before you serve the drink. In a glass place the crushed ice and pour the juice. Float slices of lime and cherry in the juice and relish it.
