Prepare ingredients to make dried sweet potatoes
The recipe below corresponds to 1 kg of sweet potato, if there is a greater or less requirement, adjust the weight of the other ingredients in proportion to the change in the main ingredient.
Main ingredients: 1kg of fresh sweet potato (Purple or yellow potato)
You should choose carefully for the product to be delicious and retain its inherent delicious taste. You should choose big, round potatoes that have fresh, not dry skin, not appearing black or brown spots, no worm
- Cooking oil: 50 – 70 ml
- Corn starch: 30 grams
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Ice cold water: 1 liter
Step 1: Peel and soak sweet potatoes
Wash sweet potatoes for skin to be cleaned. After washing, use a knife to peel the potato peel, immediately soak the potatoes one by one after peeling in a pot of diluted salt water so that the potato does not go dark
Once all potatoes are peeled, wash them again. After that, slice the potatoes into a long stick, about 1cm thick. Finished cutting, put the sliced potatoes in a bowl of cold water for about 1 hour.
Step 2: Drying
After the potatoes are soaked, take them out and put into a thin basket to drain the water. While waiting for sweet potatoes to be drained, put the cornstarch in a clean plastic bag.
After Potatoes drained, you put the potatoes in a bag of cornstarch and stir well so that the potato pieces immersed the flour evenly. Once done, put the potatoes on the baking tray.
Use a spoon or brush to spread the cooking oil evenly over the surface of the pieces. Mix the potato thoroughly with the chopsticks so that the potatoes are soaked in oil. Finished mixing, you spread the potatoes evenly over the tray.
The last step, you put the baking tray in the oven and bake potatoes at a temperature of 250 degrees C. Potato baking time to crispy sweet potatoes is 15 minutes.
